As the term suggests, meetings of this type are open to alcoholics and their families and to anyone interested in solving a personal drinking problem or helping someone else to solve such a problem.
In Support of A.A's Singleness of purpose, attendance at closed meetings is limited to persons who have a desire to stop drinking. If you think you have a problem with alcohol you are welcome to attend this meeting.
This type of meeting was set up to cater for a specific group of people, but should any person with a drink problem find themselves in need of help with that problem then they will not be turned away.
