| The first recorded meeting of the South Midlands Intergroup was in November 1968. It then covered an area several times larger than now. On the other hand, in terms of its present boundaries there were barely half a dozen groups. Before those days disappeared into the mists of time it seemed a good idea to put on record as much as possible about the histories of meetings, then and since, in our area. Many thanks to all who contributed and especially the team of ‘old-timers’ who scoured their memories. We are gradually expanding entries, filling gaps, adding new groups.
