Local Telephone Helpline

Location:

We meet every Wednesday in Cross Hill Methodist Church, Bridlington Street, Hunmanby, YO14 0JT.

Our meetings are confidential and therefore normally 'Closed' that is, attendance is limited to those who have a drink problem, however we do have 'open' meetings on the last Wednesday of every month when anyone interested can attend. If you are attending your first meeting with a partner or friend we normally waive the closed meeting rule, providing our anonymity is respected. You will be made very welcome by members who were once exactly where you are now.

Tea and coffee are available from 7pm onwards.

The meeting starts promptly at 7.30pm and includes a short break for refreshments at 8.10pm finishing at 9.00pm. There is no need for you to say anything unless you wish to do so.

The building has wheelchair access.

The meeting is non- smoking, as the whole building is non smoking.

How to find us:

By road: If travelling on the Bridlington / Scarborough road, turn off at the Hunmanby sign and continue into the village. Once there it may be easier to ask for the Cross Hill Church by name or where Bridlington Street is. Both are very well known locally. From York, turn towards Filey at Staxton roundabout, pass through Flixton and look for the Hunmanby sign then continue as below.

Using local transport: Trains and buses both stop at Hunmanby.
