Glasgow East Intergroup was formed when the old Glasgow Inner East and Glasgow outer East
Intergroups combined to form the new Intergroup as it is today. We are situated
in the east side of the city as the name suggests.

At present we have some 40 groups within our Intergroup covering Cambuslang, Rutherglen, Fernhill,
Bridgeton, Carntyne, Barlarnark, Riddrie and as far out as Millerston to name just some of the area
covered by the Glasgow East.

The Intergroup
currently hold their group conscience meetings on the first Monday of each month
at 7.30 prompt in The Baptist church hall Greenhill road Rutherglen.

The aims of the Intergroup are to aid the constituent groups in their common purpose of carrying
the A.A. message to the still-suffering alcoholic and, by using their combine strength and unity, to improve and maintain good relations with all
organizations in the community.

Would all groups try to have at least one group rep at all of these meetings

As from the 26th march 2006 all meetings will be none smoking.
